Who Am I?
My name is Mohamed Basuony. I'm a junior student majoring in CS at the American University in Cairo with a full scholarship. I'm a passionate Python and C++ developer who genuinely enjoys coding.
Currently, I work as a software
engineering intern at Gebhaly, a startup that acts as an online purchaser that helps customers to
buy the products they desire from any US retail websites. During the academic year, I work as a
teaching assistant and research assistant at the CSCE department of AUC. I was also actively
participating in the student senate and the finance and economics club at my university. Balancing
these activities with my university work helped me develop skills around prioritization, time
management, and teamwork, which are essential for any role in the technology industry. In the
future, I'd like to participate in more research and do more internships before graduating. By doing
so, I would increase my experience by doing meaningful work that I'm passionate about.
